After your Mitte Home cartridge has been activated, you have 3 months to use it before it expires. The expiry date of the cartridge is always displayed in the Mitte app just below the cartridge status.
Once you have either used the cartridge for 3 months or after 300 bottles have been dispensed, the Cartridge will be blocked and can no longer be used.
The cartridges expire for hygienic reasons, as the filter performance decreases after 3 months. Optimal mineralisation can also no longer be guaranteed.
When a cartridge expires, the notification light on the Mitte Home device for the cartridge will illuminate orange. If you’ve connected the device to the app, you’ll also receive a notification indicating that your cartridge needs to be replaced with a new one.
